Textile Painting

Having textiles as part of my repertoire is an important part of the creative process. As well as adding utility to fine art, it stretches the creative brain by using different materials, textures, processes and end uses.
My textiles include household soft furnishings such as commissioned serviettes painted on cotton calico in watercolours and realistic styles for a wedding; dance costumes painted on lycra and mesh in different styles for theatre and competition and canvas takkies (canvas sports shoes).
